Gina trained as a Textile & Surface Pattern Designer. Having over 20 years experience designing original artwork on luxurious fabrics for major fashion houses, the likes of Prada, Etro, Valentino, etc.
However when the digital era came into play Gina found herself on the computer more than hand painting which is her passion. A chance meeting with a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu world champion led to her fascination with Japanese Tattoo. The idea to paint on leather so the Artwork looked like a Tattoo was born.
Gina has travelled internationally on Bespoke commissions. Designing and painting 10 leather padded backrests for Boa Bao Restaurant in Porto. Also flying to New York to hand paint a leather couch for A renowned Tattoo studio. Gina has been also involved in exhibitions, showing a hand painted Kabuki Chair for a David Bowie Tribute show. Also being involved in The Queens 70th Birthday exhibition in Manchester, painting a leather saddle.
Gina follows a precise process, the Leather artwork becomes a part of the product it it painted on, using a cream finish to nourish and stop the leather art from losing its colour.
On the trail Gina will be showing a limited edition of hand made leather bags.
